Herpstat SpyderWeb Model Cannot Connect To Wifi
When trying to connect the Herpstat SpyderWeb model to my home WiFi it fails to connect:
This is a sign that your home routers SSID or WiFi password contains one of the following:
A space.
A special character that the SpyderWeb does not recognize or is not being translated correctly by the web browser (such as the & character).
The SSID or password is too many characters.
To resolve this log into your homes router and change the SSID and password that relates to the 2.4Ghz WiFi network. Choose a SSID and password that is only letters and numbers without any spaces, special characters, and keep the length of the SSID and password to 20 characters or less. Then try to connect the Herpstat to the network.
If you feel more secure having a special character in the SSID or password then after first using the above info to confirm things are working then you could also experiement with adding a special character to the SSID or password and try the process again until you get a setup that works and you feel secure with.
The Herpstat SpyderWeb models only use the 2.4Ghz network. Make sure the changes you make in your router's configuration are for the 2.4Ghz network and not the 5.8Ghz.
